Ecology and Environmental Education

Ecology is my passion. I have been conducting entomological citizen science experiments with the University of Sussex’s BuzzClub since 2024. This has involved studying the life cycle of hoverflies and solitary bees as well as creating overwintering habitats for invertebrates. Additionally, I am participating in various biological recording schemes, including the Hoverfly Recording Scheme. My passion project is recording the species in my garden to develop a better understanding of the kind of biodiversity a suburban garden can support.

Environmental Education

I run environmental education workshops at Broomfield Park in North London. So far, my workshops include Hoverfly Lagoons (creating a breeding habitat for hoverflies) and Bug Bunkers (creating an invertebrate overwintering habitat).
